Adding Fresh Food to Urban Environments

[Note from editor: The “Mastermind Showcase” highlights companies and news from members of the GEM. Today’s showcase: Miravel]

Designing, manufacturing, and distributing Wall Gardens, Miravel helps people grow fresh supplies in urban environments. The Wall Garden leverages AI to transmute to its surroundings and automatically grow fresh greens, herbs, and microgreens.

They currently have installations in the lobby of the Moran Apartments in Oakland and the communal kitchen of a new pod hotel, Stay Open, in Venice. Another using of their Wall Garden is stuff tested in the office settings of an engineering firm in Seattle, Facture, and an industrial diamond firm in Thousand Oaks, RKS Design.

What we like: An ESG initiative that combines elegant, yet meaty designs, the visitor is bringing a popular trend – polity gardening – directly into urban environments to increase serviceability to fresh produce.
